The European Patent Office offers an online training program (Modular IP Education Framework, MIPEF) aimed at postgraduate and doctoral students of universities. Its goal is to provide practical training on patent-related topics.

The program includes two comprehensive online courses: an introductory (entry-level) course and an advanced one.
