PROFILE

Dr. iur. Ekaterini N. Iliadou completed her undergraduate studies at the Law School of Aristoteles University of Thessaloniki (1996). She holds an LL.M. in Public Law and Political Science from the Law School of the University of the Thessaloniki and obtained her PhD at the Law School of the University of Regensburg (Germany) under the supervision of Prof. em. Dr. Udo Steiner, Bundesverfassungsrichter a.D. Her PhD thesis focuses on the constitutional problematic from the point of view of the general theory of fundamental rights with regards to research on human embryos.

Her areas of interest include general public law, administrative law, EU law, Energy Law, Fundamental Rights. She teaches General Administrative Law, Political Science and Fundamental Rights at the undergraduate level and Energy Law and Public Enterprises Law at the postgraduate level.

Dr. iur. Iliadou has published many scientific articles and papers in Greek, German, French and English and has written four books.

She is a native Greek speaker, while fluent in English, German and French.

ANCILLARY ACTIVITIES

Dr. iur. Iliadou is member of the Athens Bar Association. Her professional interests focus mainly on administrative law, energy law and public procurement. She acts as consultant and legal representative to many private and public law entities, such as companies, independent administrative authorities, ministries, and so on. Furthermore she is Member of the EPLO (international organization) Executive Committee ( www1.eplo.int/court) and legal advisor of EPLO since September 2019 as well as member of the EPLO Board of Publications.
