Studies:

PhD in Civil Law – National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (2001, grade unanimous excellent), Postgraduate degree in Civil Law (1997, grade excellent), Law Degree (1993).

Academic:

Since 2017 Ass. Professor of Law, since 2008, Lecturer of Law at the Law School of the Kapodistrian University of Athens, teaching “Banking law”, “Methodology of law and interpretation of contacts”, “Specific legal issues of tort liability” and “Energy law – contractual relationships in electricity and gas production, supply and trade”, in the Postgraduate Program of Athens Law School and “General principles of Law”, “Contracts and Torts”, “Advanced Topics of Civil Law” and “Intellectual Property Law” to the Law School Undergraduates.

Professional Career and Experience:

Konstantin Karagiannis has been practicing law as an attorney since 1995, has been senior associate in a major Athens law firm from 2002 – 2008, was co-founder and partner of a medium sized law firmfrom 2008 - 2017. Since 2017 he is the founder and managing partner of KC Law Firm, a highly specialized law firm providing services in civil and commercial law, energy law, banking transactions and international and domestic arbitrations (ICC, LCIA, GCPC) and litigations.

Konstantin Karagiannis is the author of three books, co-author of one book, contributor of two commentaries (collective works) on civil law and has published 17 articles.

  • Arbitrator in the list of Arbitrators of the Institution of Arbitration of the Regulatory Authority of Energy and in the list of Arbitrators of the Institution for Arbitration of the German-Greek Chamber of Commerce.
